This coffee is grown in the highland regions of Bukoba, western Tanzania, near Lake Victoria. Small-scale farmers cultivate their coffee on plots averaging 2.3 acres, following organic farming practices by intercropping with other staple crops to promote biodiversity and provide natural shade for the coffee plants.
After being carefully handpicked, the cherries undergo a washed processing method, followed by sun-drying on clean tarps to prevent contamination before being carefully prepared for export.
