Origin and Processing
It grows in Nabusimake, Pueblo Bello, in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in the department of Cesar, Colombia. This territory is independent from the Andes and close to the Caribbean, creating very particular conditions for high-altitude coffee production.
The coffee is grown by the Arhuaco Indigenous Community, in an area where many families produce coffee while respecting their territory, traditions, and ancestral relationship with the land. The Castillo variety is cultivated at 1,800 m.a.s.l. and handpicked to ensure careful cherry selection.
The natural process and sun drying enhance the sweeter and fruitier side of the coffee, creating a more aromatic, rounded, and expressive cup. The result is a Colombia with strong personality, tropical fruit, and a very pleasant soft mouthfeel.
