The elegance of Geisha is presented here without intense fermentation or artificially exaggerated flavours. Jasmine, lemongrass, and stone fruit unfold across a crisp, delicate, tea-like cup where clarity matters just as much as aromatic intensity.

Grown in the mountains of Acatenango and processed using the washed method, this lot offers a precise interpretation of one of specialty coffee’s most highly regarded varieties. Its floral personality and refined structure make it particularly rewarding for filter brewing and slow tasting.

Flavor Profile

  • Main notes: jasmine, lemongrass, and stone fruit
  • Acidity: citrus-driven, bright, and clearly defined
  • Body: light to medium, delicate, and silky
  • Aftertaste: clean, floral, and persistent, with lingering tea and sweet-fruit notes

Jasmine leads the aromatic profile. As the cup cools, the citrus freshness of lemongrass becomes more noticeable, followed by gentle sweetness reminiscent of peach, apricot, and other stone fruits.

Origin and Processing

This coffee comes from Finca La Esmeralda, located in Acatenango, Chimaltenango, Guatemala, and is produced by Hermes Pérez. The coffee trees grow between 1,300 and 1,500 m.a.s.l., in a region shaped by volcanic soil and conditions that support gradual cherry maturation.

The Geisha variety is valued for its floral expression, delicate structure, and ability to develop tea-like profiles when cultivated and processed with precision.

During the washed process, the fruit and mucilage are removed before drying. This supports greater aromatic clarity and allows the jasmine, citrus, and stone-fruit qualities to remain clearly distinguishable without intensive fermentation masking the variety.

The result is a transparent, elegant, and precisely defined cup for those who appreciate the more delicate side of specialty coffee.
