Origin and Processing
It grows in Guji, one of Ethiopia’s most highly regarded regions for complexity and liveliness in the cup. In Hambella Wamena, the extreme altitude, the 74110 variety, and the careful work at the station create coffees with remarkable clarity, layered florals, and refined sweetness. The lot is linked to the work of Tagel Alamayehu at Goro, Guji.
After harvest, the cherries are hand sorted at peak ripeness. Following pulping, the coffee undergoes 48 hours of fermentation in water and is then dried on African beds for around 10–12 days, depending on weather and humidity. The result is a very precise, elegant cup with especially attractive aromatics.
